A bunch of nefarious shits, no doubt.

Well, we just don't know, specifically.

The "Conservative British Alliance" (or some combination of those words), a group that seemingly didn't exist until they commissioned that poll and has no publicly available information about who comprises this alliance. And you also need to look at where it was published - the main Tory news outlet, and not just that but splashed all over their front page (which as the Guardian remarked is rare for just a single poll).

Taken together it looks like a group of Right-wing donors/think tanks have gotten together to fund this and then leant on a friendly editor to make it as visible as possible as a warning to Sunak/the wider Tory party/voters considering Reform.

Whoever this alliance is they've got something to do with Lord Frost (last seen on the front lines of ramming the dishonest Johnson Brexit deal through then immediately trying to rip it up) as he gets to write an article alongside it once again insisting that it's all about immigration and interpreting the results in a way that Yougov made clear was nothing to do with them - supposedly claiming that without Reform there's no Labour majority.

Why should Labour, if they win, get to start off with a clean slate? The Conservatives didn't in 2010. They took over when the nations finances were in an absolute state, forcing them to make difficult decisions in order to eliminate a horrific deficit. The previous Labour regime are largely responsible for the current, terrible state of our nations finances. Let them try and fix what they started.
Hahahaha, what a childish outlook to have.

I pity you.

That's definitely it and what I alluded to in my post. The Telegraph has been a huge cheerleader for that kind of bonkers right leaning Conservativism reflected in the membership who voted Truss. That miniscule state, tax slashing, trickle down economics, barely disguised xenophobic, pointless fight starting pre-Brexit swivel eyed loon stance.

Nail on head this.
