A westminister career previous to becoming prime minister would be valuable, actually having been an MP or involved in government or shadow government and understanding the process, systems and details that are required to effctively run a country. Being a corrupt banker funded by russian money and speaking with the intent of youtube clip popularity isn't a qualificantion I value in a politician.
You are describing populism and a failure in many of the modern day electorate (such as yourself). Saying 'interesting' things to win votes, not because it will be a success for the people, not because you mean it, not because it provides solution to people who need it, because it confirms peoples bias and appeals to lazy voters who don't reseach past and headline, and most importantly it gains them power.
I'd rather the individual that has a proven record of a capabilty to embrace the details and a voting record that doesn't disgust me. Whether they are Cicero reincarnated I could not care less.
