It wouldn't be the worst thing to happen, would it?

We need natural leaders and strong characters to be competing for a place in government... for all parties!

Instead, we have boring non-entities... fence sitters etc. No wonder people lose interest in politics. It's a boring race to the centre. No conviction.
Yes it would, a further lurch to the populist right and unqualified politicians with supsicious financial pasts.

Could not care less how boring a politician is, its not a netflix series

Are any politicians 'qualified' to be politicians? What is the qualification required?

Yes, it's not a TV show... But, politicians do need to engage with their voters. Being interesting, and engaging, will get more votes. Being boring does not.

A westminister career previous to becoming prime minister would be valuable, actually having been an MP or involved in government or shadow government and understanding the process, systems and details that are required to effctively run a country. Being a corrupt banker funded by russian money and speaking with the intent of youtube clip popularity isn't a qualificantion I value in a politician.

You are describing populism and a failure in many of the modern day electorate (such as yourself). Saying 'interesting' things to win votes, not because it will be a success for the people, not because you mean it, not because it provides solution to people who need it, because it confirms peoples bias and appeals to lazy voters who don't reseach past and headline, and most importantly it gains them power.

I'd rather the individual that has a proven record of a capabilty to embrace the details and a voting record that doesn't disgust me. Whether they are Cicero reincarnated I could not care less.

You say natural leader but all I can see is a serial loser.

I think that account was fishing.... public service (maybe military)... interesting views (maybe write a book)... engaging to get votes (maybe hold some big rallies)... totally not an accident.

Seems someone enjoys the racism and violence of the history of the facist right wing. But but but, not boring though...

….Rwanda Bill chaos. 2 resignations tonight;

Lee Anderson & Brendon Clarke-Smith have resigned.
What I would like to know in all this, where is ester mcvey? if ever there was a time for some common sense then surely it is now, and she is the minister for common sense after all, oh won't you save us all please heroic lady....

….ha, ha, weirdly, I was only thinking last night that I haven’t seen her on the front bench for bit.
