I don't think that the victims of these people traffickers are generally well informed on the situation. Propaganda exists outside of European governments. The gangs operating in this way are powerful and influential, and they make sure to not just sell a dream, but sell it as the only dream. Many of them never had a choice in whether they were coming here or not the first place regardless.
