May as well just watch all the games on YouTube then
Or the BBC could just find people that aren't toe-curlingly cringeworthy and aren't paid a kings ransom to badly host the show and act as pundits. That way, MOTD might be watchable again.

I mean, I entirely back Lineker in his comments. I'd just sooner never have to watch him badly present the togger again.

Personally, I lost interest in MOTD years ago. Having to sit through a 90 minute show, half of which is just pundits talking, and having to wait patiently for the only 5 minutes of highlights that I actually wanted to watch... And to do so, I'd have to stay up late on a Saturday night, or get up early on a Sunday morning.

Now, I simply go on YouTube for my highlights; all officially released by the Premier League. 3-4 minutes of action highlights. No waiting around, no pundits, no nonsense... just goals and highlights! And I can watch them whenever I want... usually released by the Premier League an hour or so after the final whistle.

I might listen to pundits while watching live games... just before kick-off, a few minutes at half time, maybe a few minutes after... otherwise, I don't really care what they think. I take more interest in what other fans think.

MOTD is an outdated show from a bygone era. It's no longer the only way to watch highlights. It hasn't been for a long time. The presenters and production crew can strike if they want. They think they are essential. They aren't. They are now expendable.
