Perhaps, though I think he is much less beholden to them than Truss was and is much more likely to take them on when / if he has a new deal with the EU (over NI and the rest).
All of which begs the question why he continues to be pushing through Rees Mogg's crazy idea (and crazy schedule). It's yet another huge act of self harm that is so pointless.

Shocked I tell ya, I am very surprised that he backed out of this. I thought he was an honest politician, true to his word politician... lol

It's clear that they are already on this path but the timing given what has just happened in Warrington is soulless.

It's quite an effective approach (unpleasant but effective). However there needs to be subtlety to it, and not signposting it so publicly.

Hes basically saying they cant win on big issues like schools, hospitals, the economy etc

He does come across as though someone had used a lab to create/concoct the most charmless, grotesque, vile human possible. Presumably the same lab that gave the world Suella Braverman.

Well guess that what populism does folks.
Frank Doberman.

And of the 20000 they need to recruit by next month, they have only managed to recruit around 16000.
And of the 16000 recruited 3500 have already left.

it is a lot more than that overall - the 3500 are just the wastage from the new joiners, the rest were meant to replace the people who are due for retirement and who have mostly all seen sense and escaped while they can

Only people as brainless as Patel and Braverman would wanna create a police state without any actual police.

Not sure that story makes any sense - for a start, that Sunak plans to "run a culture war"?

Everything he critiques in that article - the Tories anti-business approach, the culture war nonsense, the economic illiteracy - was demonstrably worse under Johnson and Truss. One might point out that Sunak is (and this is a low bar to get over) engaging with government more seriously than his two predecessors and to (so far anyway) greater effect.

Also any politician that annoys lobbyists is usually one to keep an open mind over; likewise any politician who attracts them is one to be wary of.

It ain't over until the large pronouns sing. Ministers set to resign on Sunak. Delicious irony Brexit is what have them such a majority and it's Brexit that's going send them into oblivion, that the trouble with lies.
