My meal was paid for but I have to pay for travel, hotel and drinks.
No way I'm spending 150 quid on that at Christmas.
Also I'm expected to buy my team 20 quid Amazon vouchers and then claim it back on expenses, so 200 quid out the Christmas budget. I've just said no, bah humbug. I just can't afford it.
The wife's Trust is tighter than a duck's bottom. To thank them for working so hard, they've been given £15 for Christmas lunch. It's hardly surprising though, they don't even provide tea bags or anything quite basic like that.

I dont think anybody would begrudge people like your wife a £15 quid lunch mate. People like her are the heroes that have kept this country afloat.
The fact the Tories, who have cost us all enormously, are paying themselves for a Christmas dinner, which will no doubt not be cheap is infuriating though. It sort of sums up their priorities- themselves.
