The research started in 1980. I didn't retire until 2001. A lot of the research there was undertaken while in full-time work. So once again you put your BIG foot in your mouth by getting something wrong 100%.
And since retiring, yes, I have continued the research up to present. Why not? I've got the knowledge of the subject, and many, many thousands of people around the world have benefitted from my published works, and information on internet forums and pages.

And I know I'm not the only one to run projects running into £millions. But when you denigrate me, I advance that particular matter as a certain amount of proof of my capabilities.

I don't have an agressive attitude - that kind of attack/allegation is the refuge of the defeated, and in your case, it most certainly IS!

Don't bother, pete...

I’m really pleased for you……

I always voted Labour and did my bit for the Labour Party, then I had my eyes opened because there was never any improvement for people, just keep everyone down and keep their votes…..

I've no fan of labour, different cheek of the same arse but how many years of a Labour govt has there been in your lifetime and how many years tory?

…..after over 40 years in the public sector, you can’t be serious.

People care about how long they wait for an ambulance, getting a GP appointment, being quickly cared for if they need an urgent operation or have cancer. People care about their kids having access to textbooks, education standards & continuity with their teachers. People care about crime, the police taking it seriously when a house is burgled or somebody is mugged. People want their passport and driving tests on time, sufficient staffing to control borders.

Under a Labour Government public services are never better. The country is in a mess, Conservatives prefer tax cuts for the rich to funding public services. Things improve under Labour, this lot have run their course.

No, it’s all about quality of life for everyone. Yet if you point out deprived areas, they have all been Labour run and represented for half a century or more. Why is it that Labour, not since Harold Wilson, never improve the living standards of those they represent ?….
Probably because those with true power and influence don't reside in those areas. You can only make interventions, but in a fundamentally unequal socio-economic system you are peeing in the wind.

What i will say is that under New Labour inequalities continued to widen, but at a slower pace. Under the Tories? Inequalities have widened faster and harder. Its also disingenuous to blame Labour run local authorities, its no secret they get less in block grants from the Tories and generally have a lower council tax take than a Conservative run council. I.e. fewer resources.

But what do you expect? Everything got run down in the 80s / early 90s, Labour had to attempt to rebuild, then the last 12 years... the cycle will continue.
