That's not true. Well over half actually get asylum, so your comment is fundamentally wrong.

OK, I am happy to be wrong. This is what I had heard this morning on the beeb. What asylum are they claiming from Albania?
Britain is starting to look dangerously similar to the fall of the Weimar Republic and the rise of the Nazis, with high inflation, increasing right wing extremism, and a recession. This refugee rhetoric is nigh on identical to the early Nazi rhetoric aimed at dehumanising people they wish to persecute.
THis has been the case for years and years though.
Also, having just read into this, a very small percentage of Albanians are granted asylum (with 96% of claims not even processed)
Its a mess for sure.
Most are fleeing from persecution, trafficking, and blood crimes.

It will most likely be some sort of political, or ethnic persecution. How genuine these claims are I don't know, but they do go through a thorough process to claim asylum.
You can claim asylum from any country in the world if your life becomes in danger. We get a lot of Chinese people trying to claim asylum which you never hear about.

Yes, persecution of any minority group will qualify as asylum. What you will see is the right wing press state these are not persecuted groups from Albania. Not too sure how they can actually know this
I think the slide is down to volume. The press seem to be all over it again
It might help if we stopped trying to antagonise our closest neighborhood linked to mainland Europe as well.
