Your more likely to be homeless if you have served your country through the armed forces, your country no longer needs you!
I used to love raiding the tip. I once found a pair of vintage Tannoy speakers I sold on eBay for over £500. Picked up loads of useful/resellable stuff back when it was allowed. Annoys the piss out of me that its no longer allowed.its not April 1st

With respect.... when you serve you get paid... why not plan ahead and save a little like the rest of us have to so that we can put a roof over our heads
An average wage for most people, with far fewer overheads. Also get access to a good help to buy scheme. The majority of ex servicemen aren’t on the streets because of poor pay in the army, it’s due to mental health issues pertaining or exacerbated from service, or just being completely unable to deal with not having a regimented approach to every day.I think you're vastly underestimating just how little front line army get paid.
But they know that when they sign up.I think you're vastly underestimating just how little front line army get paid.
Yea, so skip the grunt-work and hit the streets right after school? But they know that when they sign up.
It’s choices you make.Yea, so skip the grunt-work and hit the streets right after school?
I know, but it's not that simple in real life mate. It’s choices you make.
When I was 16 I passed the army entrance test along with my best mate.... I backed out... he joined up. In hindsight I regret my decision, I ended up working as a trainee in a leisure centre for £29.50 a week on the governments amazing YTS scheme. My mate travelled all over and really enjoyed life for 6 years whilst I made my way through life my own way. I luckily was able to buy a house when I was in my mid twenties and life is ok.I know, but it's not that simple in real life mate.
