Watched Question Time for the first time in a while last night, remembered why I stopped. The swivel eyed loons were out in force last night.

George the Poet was very decent, tbf. I was expecting a typical "we iz der yoof, innit" type, but the lad was pretty much laying smackdowns on the racists and Tories (and Tory racists) all night.

I’ve only very quickly looked at this abs Im not saying that there wasn’t governmental involvement in that murder or that it doesn’t need further investigation but at first sight in that particular thread it looks like he’s directly linking the tribunal and suggesting one of the serious crimes is the murder.

Again that could absolutely be true and certainly isn’t in the realms of fantasy but i haven’t seen evidence of that yet , I may well in the next couple of hours , but if there isn’t then it risks undermining some already huge disclosures about the security services .

Wasn't that fantastic ; judging by my university experience, it's just another bunch of self-entitled, braying, little rich kids who have the self awareness of a Kopite. Time for me to enter the Land of Nod.

Thats pretty much what the article suggests, but it mugs them off in a far more amusing manor. It's all based around the fact that these types typically brush off stuff like this as 'just banter' and thats what the article addresses.

I think it's well known that many die-hard Tories believe in social darwinism.

This is true, but they have never thought it through to its logical extent.

As an example, there is an anecdote in one of the Chris Mullin diaries where he spends time with a retired signalman. The signalman tells him that one day, many years ago, he had been walking across a moor to his signal-box when a toff on horseback approached him and demanded to know why he was trespassing on "his" land. The signalman said it was a free country, to which the toff told him that his ancestors had fought for this land - to which the signalman replied that, in that case, he would fight him for it now. The toff turned his horse around and rode away.

Homeowners should be allowed to scavenge for old televisions, furniture and appliances at dumps so they can reuse them, Michael Gove has suggested.

The Environment secretary told a meeting that he wanted to change rules at council recycling centres so people can recover valuables. Currently, many local authorities ban people from taking away anything their tips, however Mr Gove said he wanted the rules to be relaxed. According to the Sunday Times, Mr Gove told a meeting: “We must reduce the amount of material we waste.

"At the moment if I take something to the dump for which I have no use but which you could happily have picked up and reused then you are not allowed to".
