I have a dream that Braverman, Patel and Kwarteng are mistaken for refugees and shipped off to Rwanda despite their protestations.
Would make a cracking TV show....

Day 83 in the Rwandan house. Suella is stressed about today's torture task. Here she is at breakfast telling Kwasi that he better bring his A game to make sure they get all this weeks groceries..

The Tories talk about 12 years of solid leadership but there is little evidence of that mate - but it is the same with a lot of the wokeys on the opposite side of the spectrum.

The vast majority have done nothing to improve the lives of those marginalised in society, yet they put rainbow flags and black fist emojis on their twitter handle, virtue signal on the internet and talk down to those who dont share their ideology.

Mate of mine is the exact same - sacked off Labour to vote Greens (I personally blame his bird who's a Vegan) he talks a good game about the evil of the Tories/Right, lets everyone know how much he is BLM yet doesn't do anything for charity, nothing for his local community, schools, BAME in the city etc.

The left / right are two sides of the same coin my friend - gaslighting frauds who seduce the vulnerable and guilable through the media/internet.

Not a chance you're a real person.

Is this just a general statement or do you have anyone specific in mind.

The reason I ask is because, for a significant amount of time, across the UK, we haven't had 'wokeys' in a position of leadership.

Similarly, I'm curious as to why you think awareness and championing of an issue is 'doing nothing'?

Likewise, I'd point to protest, but I know you're not keen on disruption as a means of driving change.

You've highlighted being vegan in almost disparaging terms, so presumably you are disregarding that as a means of personal positive action.

I'm curious as to what you actually think people should do to create change?

And then you despise the ones who do take action and shout them down, for example during the London protests etc, BLM protestors because they are "do gooders".

Polling is horrendous for this lot now don't believe there has been anything's like it in British polling, a phrase often associated with the "cock womble" but very apt for once "game changing" .
If they manage to get through a few months, they'll pull some of the votes back and by the time the GE comes around in 2 years, everyone will be focused on some minor Labour issue that has been exaggerated massively by the media.

It's a lose/lose.

Seemingly anything anyone does is virtue signalling and 'wokey' nonsense, but if you do 'nothing' you're a hypocrite.

His mate, whose been led astray by his vegan bird (I bet she doesn't like being called a bird either mate!) has literally changed political parties - but we should also apparently dismiss that as a credible way of generating change

Maybe. However, household economics of electorate is going to be huge factor like never before. Tory Government have made the cost of living worse than it needed to be for many more people.

Truss openly states more pain. Thousands of people every day conning off fixed rates with a much more expensive mortgage planned or hoped, all because mini budget ramped up rates quicker and further than planned.

Not to mention BofE temporary intervention to rescue Private pensions in the markets, ends on 14 th October, political harry carry.

We are now living "Brittnia unchained", and many people who have been happily oblivious to 12 years of Tory government are going to feel the economic pain for the first time.:)

The issue for me is that people tend to have short term memories. Just look at Boris and the ups and downs he had.

I fully expect, 6 months before a GE, a range of sweeping support measures, increases to welfare, reductions in tax will come into play. Which is what was being planned by Bojo and Sunak as Sunak was going to raise costs for a while before reducing them as per above timeline using the reasoning of covid and the war in Ukraine. (Let's not forget that energy prices had steeply risen before the war in Ukraine)
