And the real problem with this discussion, again at the risk of not being politically correct, is as soon as you raise this point there is a deluge of 60+ year something blokes, who have no understanding of the modern workplace, calling you woke. And for different reasons, that's who the government have thrown their hat in with. So it wont get fixed.

The NAO estimate that there have been cost increases of over £1bn since 2019, so it's probably fair to say it has been a few billion.
I mean this is priceless, where are they bussing these people in from, and if it is europe or further afield, how are they getting ports and airports to fast track the select whomevers through.

Very good friends, the pair of them apparently. Closely aligned on complex affairs of state.
Some have sought to misrepresent their friendship. One notable example being the disgraceful and widely discredited (particularly by those mentioned) list, detailing alleged MP misdemeanours, said to be kept by Tory whips.
A number of the MPs mentioned were very angry and threatened to sue, when the list first became public, but never did. It must all have been resolved amicably behind closed doors and the allegations rightly dismissed, as scurrilous and unfounded rumours.
It’s very strange though, given that the list was circulated in 2017, how many of those named have since been exposed as being guilty of the very same allegation as that listed.
That’s downright spooky !
