Seems to be the case then.Just heard the interview on 5 live. They’re saying it’s when, not if now!!
I'll be brutally honest - 2 solid years of Rooney as our playmaker, we'll achieve more than with Ross in that slot
If and I don't know for sure, there is no transfer fee involved then what does it matter. People seem quite comfortable with an outlay of 20mill for Giroud plus wages or in excess of 35 mill for Siggurdson plus wages and neither of them are exactly world beaters, nor ever been in Rooney class in my opinionI voted yes - but wish there was a "Yes - With a big pay-cut" option.
Talk of him wanting to stay on 250k a week actually puts me back on the fence! At his age - and if he is truly making the the move for the right reasons .... 175k absolute max!
That would show he is doing it for Reasons of integrity rather than looking for anyone who will stretch his big pay-day a bit longer now the chinese aren't able to do it so easily (which I guarantee was his Plan A till a few weeks back!)
True enough - and IF united wave a fee then its essentially 12 million a year - on some kind of 1 year rolling contract I guess I would slide slowly back onto the "Oh OK then" side of the fenceIf and I don't know for sure, there is no transfer fee involved then what does it matter. much nicer on this side anywayTrue enough - and IF united wave a fee then its essentially 12 million a year - on some kind of 1 year rolling contract I guess I would slide slowly back onto the "Oh OK then" side of the fence
The thing is this stinks of BK he did it with DF who came back crocked from newcastle as an expensive talisman its deja vue happening again - if you heard an hasbeen was signing on in your position and maybe on more wages would you sign your contract???????Barkley's new contract has been on the table a lot longer than a month and he has thus far refused to sign. Maybe if he has achieved as much as Rooney over the next 8 years he will be worthy of top dollar. As it is I don't see any of the real high wage clubs beating a path to our door to secure his services. Think Ross is a delight to watch but don't blame Rooney for his situation
As I said the contract has been on the table for months. The lad seems to have confidence that either a club will come in for him, or he is simply being mercenary and running his contract down in the hope of a massive signing on fee, leaving the club he supports with nothing for their investment. At least with Rooney we were able to finance a bit of spending to improve us. Rooney signing will increase global awareness of Everton in the short term. A gamble, maybe, but not a massive one. I hope Ross signs btw.The thing is this stinks of BK he did it with DF who came back crocked from newcastle as an expensive talisman its deja vue happening again - if you heard an hasbeen was signing on in your position and maybe on more wages would you sign your contract???????
I don't give a monkeys about how much he gets paid. For years we've had no money always scraping the barrel for last minute deals. Now we're flush with cash people moaning about how much wages we pay. Just enjoy the moment. The rs aren'tArticle painting a rosy and glossed over picture. Will teams 'sit up' with Rooney in a blue shirt? I think the more likely reaction will be laughter/pity that last season they faced lukaku and thus season we present them with Rooney. And China has that massive tax now on new players so I don't think there was real damand there now and the MLS will see him taking a massive pay cut.
I think its OK to bring him back as a squad rotation player but if we pay anything more than 75k a week out of our own pockets- or anywhere near the 125k it looks like we will pay, then we can't complain too much at being laughed at /pitied by other fans/teams.
imagine the derby and wayne rooney does this
After his sexual tendencies
