I ITK a month ago he was coming from a source from FF - if he is being offered more than Ross that's the reason he wants out Ross 23 full of potential or the disloyal once an evertonian always an Evertonian returning for his pension!

Barkley's new contract has been on the table a lot longer than a month and he has thus far refused to sign. Maybe if he has achieved as much as Rooney over the next 8 years he will be worthy of top dollar. As it is I don't see any of the real high wage clubs beating a path to our door to secure his services. Think Ross is a delight to watch but don't blame Rooney for his situation

I agree with this. But this is not worth 125k a week.

I'm so sick of our players rolling over when we play that lot. If he changes the teams mentality and we do the double over them, then IMO he'll be worth it.

I was at Duncan's testimonial in 2015, and the crowd reaction was positive.

I know he took abuse but really ? Maybe he should of punched the mascot instead(that's a joke btw). Or do worse by scoring loads against us but not kissing their badge ffs

Well I was there so I can say, and the old chant of "Rooney, Rooney" could be heard from all parts of the ground including the lower gladdy and with hardly any negativity toward the lad. I was in the paddock and I'll be honest he was our best player that day too.

Winner, solid professional, and a blue. We got big money at dark times for the club and he kissed the badge of a team he's played in for most of his professional career. He will graft for this team it's a no brained for me. Two years to get us to the next level and he'll end up a Man U and Everton legend
