Why do I get the feeling that this bloke is as much a remainer as Joey is a socialist?
There's nothing inherently wrong with emotional decisions, plenty of life's biggest decisions are emotional ones - marriage, the football team you support etc.Are you saying those that voted to leave the EU did so on emotion? Those people that are concerned about immigration haven't really got the capacity to think rationally about it? Whilst on the other hand, those that do support immigration, are the rational ones? The ones that "know best"? Is that what you are really saying here?
Is it the same as being called a racist for voting to leave the EU? Is that the kind of emotional reaction you are talking about?
I was at Uni when the care industry started to really move to privatization and working as a support worker at an agency getting sent all over the shop. The difference between the privately run places and council run was alarming, the most alarming difference was how the staff were treated. In the council run places they were treated as a valuable asset offered a good wage, pension and regular training. The private run places were profit by any means and very lucky if they got a manager who cared who then had to works hours on end for free to make sure the respite was up to standards for the kids. Heartbreaking to watch parents with bags under there eyes hand their kids over for a few days respite with guilt on their faces, knowing standards were dropping

The divergence here is your suggestion that the benefit of limiting immigration is a logical rational response. What are you founding that assertion on?
I did not say we should be limiting immigration. I said we should be controlling it.
What's teh difference? And what are we doing now?
Controlling immigration means we are being selective with regards to whom we allow to relocate. It has to be beneficial to both parties. It also has to have certain conditions attached to it – the points system will go some way towards aiding that.
Obviously there will be a time when we do have to limit it. That time is not now.
SO how does that differ to the situation now?

Only to you.Again - I am not sure what you are getting at. Are you trying to catch me out here? My position with regards to immigration is pretty clear really.
I am not emotional at all mate.
With regards to what the reasons are for being against Immigration - Are you asking me to speak for other people here?

Trolls you mean?lolI do love how often certain types of people get into ‘oh you’re trying to catch me out’ as if they weren’t quick enough they’d have said something they maybe don’t want people hearing...
I’m asking you to list any reasons why people want immigration caps and then explain whether they appeal to emotion or rationality.
Same question applies.I did not say we should be limiting immigration. I said we should be controlling it.
