The Aston Villa Thread

Nah.

Villa have always been my hated club.

Eh, I thought that would`ve been Liverpool, unless you`re helping out over on RAWK following a defeat, closely followed by " the Evil Club " in Scotland and every player that has ever played for them ?
That's my job.... apparently.

TBH I hope Villa crash out. Got a feeling Braga would do Forest in the final, but not Villa. It's literally ridiculous - one of Forest (third tier as recently as um... 2008 I think?) or Villa (relegated with 17 pts just ten years ago, three goes to bounce back) is about to get to a European final.

And Palace - nearly extinct in 2010 - are about to get to the UECL final and probably win it. Then there's us. A top flight team for about 3850 years but we win zilch of importance save for the odd Wimbledon 1994 or Bournemouth 2023

Really boils my piss to think of how dumbed down the European competitions are these days too. And the qualifying process.

6th place could now get you UCL. Sixth. We used to finish 6th like Harambe ate steaming piles of his own chum at the local zoo.

Look at the teams we had to face in the SECONDARY club competitions during Moyes' ginger years. A Benfica side with the likes of Di Maria, Fiorentina with UCL quality players.

With the league phase, you can average just barely over a point a game and get through to the knockouts. But we'll never benefit from that system, because dithering Dave thinks that Barry is worth starting over Graham, even with absolutely nothing to play for since the derby.

Just never going to be us is it? Sooner we all accept it, the easier it gets.

Empty seats at Villa Park tonight.

Seen it at West Ham, Man City, Spurs this season.

Warning lights are on - digital tickets/prices are daft.
