Makes me furious seeing how successful Villa have become in such a short period of time when we were both managed by Gerrard and Lampard respectively. They acted quickly, we as usual arsed around for far too long, and both went in completely the opposite direction.

They'll most likely finish fourth (and have absolutely no concerns with missing out on Champions League via the PL) and win the Europa League.

Thats too easy to be fair. Emery would have struggled here, we have until last january we had been been on a asset sale. Anyone worth anything was moved on and we were bringing in cheap and cheerful. Emery might have had a uptunr coming in for Lampard, but he would have left quickly becuase the club was a state, with no money, absent owners, points deductions et al.
Villa have been rised steadily from their promotion from the championship. Fair play to them... they havent even been that good this season and still managed to reach a euro semi final and top four at this point...

Always rated Dick Emery, he’s a very good manager.

Never really liked Villa but fair play to them, they look like getting CL through a league place and will prob win the europa, which is great going in anyone’s book.
