howcome not make 'em follow on ?

the spirit of the game says we have to give them a sporting chance of beating us (as in declare giving them a reasonable time to beat our total), if they just manage to bat it out then weve thrown it away.

God knows what the clown is doing. We should have made them follow on, then got them all for a duck.

52-0 after 11 overs

Cmon rain...

McB . I actually think that Johnson will get bags of wickets for the ball-and-chain'ers , but , Jeez !!!
Glenda McGrath used to say that he hit a shoe-box on a length . Day in , day out .
My mate , this surfer dude looks like he's done the same , ...
only with a wardrobe !!!

We're currently 250-odd for no wicket . It's a rarity for Ashes Tests at H.Q. We need to see off another hour , losing one , perhaps two wickets . If we're still going at 4 / 5 an over , let Prior have an hour opening his shoulders , .. and it should be game on .

HOWEVER , this is England , remember . Caution is our watchword .

130-2, its tea now.

After a few wobbles and a bit of luck from Pietersen, England sit pretty.

Will have to up the run rate massively after lunch though - theres two key things left in this game. When to declare and the weather tomorrow.

Its a nailed on draw.

Johnson has the missus on his mind. Silly kid.

Ponting looks rattled.

Was thinking back the McGrath/Waugh days. McGrath was an absolute MACHINE.

These kids dont look up to the job.
