See that actually happened on the last day of the Sydney test. Not sure if I've seen that happen before the other dayIs it still 5 for the ball hitting a player's helmet ?![]()

Root passed fit for tomorrow's match. Meanwhile, in New Zealand, Trent Boulton took 5-17 in helping bowling out Pakistan for 74.
we've got a fine limited overs set up currently despite our mixed test performances, I'd swap hales and bairstow around, but look at the talent we can bring in for this format, marshaled by an experienced limited overs captain. Also, root might be leagues behind smith in the test format currently, but he kholi and williamson are complete 3 format players in a way smith is not.Hammering it round. Good to see i grudgingly admit
I get the feeling aus cricket now has 50 over cricket a distant third in the formats. At state level it seems to be an afterthought now jamming all the games in about 2 cities at the start of the season most probably due to the succes of the big bash. You used to be hard pressed buying a ticket 6 months in advance at the scg for an ODI 15-20 years ago now you could rock up on the day and sit wherever you want. That's not making excuses for us getting outplayed today either hahawe've got a fine limited overs set up currently despite our mixed test performances, I'd swap hales and bairstow around, but look at the talent we can bring in for this format, marshaled by an experienced limited overs captain. Good to see plunkett in the wickets, he went for a few but bowls wicket taking balls, I can't help but feel he could have done a role in the ashes, maybe come in and bowled 3 or 4 overs of out and out pace, unfortunately we dropped him after taking career best figures because he was a bit expensive (pretty much echoes what holding said about the ecb), he hasn't seen a red ball since
captains the number 1 team in the worldIt's a good job that Root Roy partnership went on for so long because if they'd have left even another 20 more needed, there's no doubt England would have found a way to collapse and fold.
Eoin Morgan. Scores runs once a year. Dire player.
