I don't exactly have much faith in marsh or paine to hold on under pressure either tbhI'd say it's gone now to be honest, would take a pretty spectacular collapse, but good to see a proper test match

Here's smiths record at all grounds if anyone cares

For someone who came into the team as a leg spin bowler who could bat a bit he goes ok i guess lolPoor at Trent Bridge and Edgebaston, I reckon a lot of players would be similar there tbh.
For what it's worth I really rate him and enjoy watching the lesbian looking ferret go to work.
He moves across his wicket on those flat pitches - hence on a fast wicket suspect to LBW in the U.K.Poor at Trent Bridge and Edgebaston, I reckon a lot of players would be similar there tbh.

Who do you support when NZ play England by the way ?

Great batsman though!
We needed two spinners in the side the leg spinner Rashide and giving that young leg spinner a go as our medium pacers were cannon. Fodder all the series - Ali did not look fit with his sore spinning finger,The amount of time he seems to have is a gift that can't be coached, terrific to watch when he's in full flight.
I agree. Ali is decent, but he doesn't get enough bounce, it's so vital in Australia. We needed two spinners in the side the leg spinner Rashide and giving that young leg spinner a go as our medium pacers were cannon. Fodder all the series - Ali did not look fit with his sore spinning finger,
Smith and others made the most of it!
What narks me is any bowler, and we seem to do it most is not bowling around the wicket to a left handed batsman as bowling over the wicket loses your chances of LBW - my former cricket coach at school drilled it into me as a pacy swing bowler, and I loved bowling v left handlers around the wicket - I go berserk when they do the opposite so many options are lost imo, and experience!
he's been popcorn-tastic all series, horrifically selfish batsman himself, but he's defo enjoying himself nowBoycott did a half hour stint with the Aussie Channel 9 boys, ripped into the Aussies, told them Smith only bats on flat wickets and averages in the teens on proper wickets. Absolute stones on him, he's absolutely not arsed lol
