I think you underestimate England's ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Given the time left in the game, a huge first innings lead plus a decent batting wicket, can we really lose from here?

Probably!

But inconsistent test cricket is what's dogged England for sometime now. But it would take some effort to go 4-0 down from the position we are in.

It all depends on Warner and Smith (especially the latter); get them cheap and it's done and dusted. But that's no easy task. Steve Smith is the #1 batsman out there....daylight comes second.

You think so but if the Aussie get to say 250/2 they could put their foot down and give us a problem. Like 250 in 2 sessions. If a collapse comes you know the rest.

We were always going to lose this series. Over the last 15 years 8 of the last 9 Ashes have been won by the home side and I couldn't see this being any different and posted that earlier on this thread before the series even started.
