This is so sad, frustrating, and depressingly familiar. So much idiotic rhetoric from right-wing assholes about protecting kids from trans-story hour and Democrats who fictitiously run pedophile rings, but there is nothing but radio-silence from these cowards on issues that actually kill children. If your moral position on developing a beneficent future for children revolves around such pseudo-issues of pronouns, teaching an accurate and self-reckoning history of the USA, and perhaps even renaming or removing a few public edifices or statues, respectively, you are doing it wrong. And kids are dying.
