If you moved to USA, would you have a gun stashed in your house?
Defo. And I hate the things

Do we make allowances for different ideologies and core values? Do we debate them or do we start banning everyone who doesn't conform to the 1990s+ western view? Answers on a postcard.
And with regards Emir.
I dont want to sound like a brown nose, but I do see the issue the mods have, hes technically not breaking any forum rules, human decency rules, yes, but I do see the problem the mods face.
Yeah totally agree, horse has well and truly bolted.
As you say, if they banned them tomorrow, Hillbilly Jeff from Texas aint giving up his collection, thats for sure.
We banned them in this country, but we never had the "problem" that the US had.
Lived in the US my entire life, and never once have I fired, much less owned a gun. Like I posted earlier, while it goes against how a lot of people feel, study after study has shown that owning or carrying a gun makes you statistically LESS safe.I'm conflicted in my view on that point.
I'm very much anti gun - but the horse has bolted in USA hasn't it?

I joke and all that and its clearly not as bad as im about to make out, but how do you honestly go the shop for a pint* of milk and not be looking over your shoulder for somebody on a mow down?Agree folks aren’t going to give up their guns up.
I’d fully back something like the Australian guns laws. Even that is fantasy in the current climate.
For now, I’d take regulation of private sales, much improved background checks, and penalties for gun owners who don’t secure their guns from kids, theft or “lend“ them out

Second amendment innit, it’s not indoctrinated into our brain cells through hours and hours of brain washing by inbred blurts and the NRA.I've worked in the US for extended periods and never once felt the need to own a gun, was dating a girl who had a gun in her house and just found it weird
