There’s close to 230 million white people in the US, whereas there’s approximately 40 million black people.

Would you like me to talk through the simple maths involving the ratio of deaths to population? 35% of 40 is also less than 10% of 230, right?

No, you just ignored the fact that per 100 people a black person is far more likely to be killed by police than a white person. That’s why it’s highlighted.

Do you it’s just and right that such a ratio occurs? Or, if using your statistics, why is a black person more likely to be killed than a Hispanic?

Surely, if a higher percentage are in gangs then they should be the biggest victims, right? Or does that not suit a zealot.

Black people are significantly more likely to be killed by police in the US than white people or any other minority, that's a fact. There's no narrative or spin in that statement. Maybe you should put down the gun and stop shooting cats for a while, get the head straight

You are correct that the media influence what stories get coverage and how much. That's always been the case. See the level of coverage of Syrian and Ukrainian conflicts.

However, that is a separate issue from the racial profiling and inherent racism that is ingrained in US culture. That's beyond any doubt.

Narrative: A narrative is something like "those 3 white guys wouldn't have shot him if he just complied with them. He was scared because he was on parole and he was robbing from a construction site".

Above is all supposition and conjecture, and found to not be true in a court of law. It is you putting your own spin on events to justify the murder of a young black man in your own mind

Fact: A fact is something like "Black people are significantly more likely to be shot by police in the US."

It's a statement, it's inarguable and it has been shown to you here using statistics you posted yourself. It's not our fault your grasp of maths doesn't measure up to your ability to shoot a cat from 20 feet with an air rifle
