This is not a good idea.So are you saying @Spotty that you think the UK should remove all its gun control laws?
I can only imagine the utter mayhem that would result in roughly 32million people in this country all buying an AR15.
This is not a good idea.So are you saying @Spotty that you think the UK should remove all its gun control laws?
No one is saying that tighter gun laws will end all mass shootings. No, I was asked if I would loosen gun controls in the UK. I said no. I am saying introducing them anywhere won't stop mass killings. Subjective of course but it's my view as a Brit, that it's the person with a gun who divides to kill lots of people. They could choose a crossbow, a knife, axe etc etc, if they want to do it they will. People on London bridge were knifed to death recently. Shall we ban knives ? By the common held view on here then their logic is remove them from society and it won't happen. The problem is, we ALL know it won't.
Yes, I do agree. Saving one life would be definitely worth it. Doesn't change the premise of my argument one iota though.Would it stop them all? No. But even if we stopped just one more by doing SOMETHING, it’s still worth it. Do you not agree?
So, having less access to guns by weirdos, the very thing the NRA are trying to blame for this, will not reduce Maas shooting???No pretending at all. I'm saying 100% that I'm right. Gun control will not stop mass shootings. Your turn. Are you saying they will, by removing en mass people's rights to carry arms it will end mass killing ? How confident are you ? 100% sure.
So you do think tighter gun laws might reduce mass shootings?Yes, I do agree. Saving one life would be definitely worth it. Doesn't change the premise of my argument one iota though.
So your argument is that stricter gun control would not do that? If that’s the case, your premise is stupid. It’s like saying requiring ID to purchase booze has zero effect. Underage drinking happens but ID laws make it less accessible and limits it. It’s just logic.Yes, I do agree. Saving one life would be definitely worth it. Doesn't change the premise of my argument one iota though.

Where have I said that I don't agree that tighter gun laws will reduce mass shootings ? Don't bother scrolling to where you think I said it. I have not said they won't. Please don't twist my words and attribute things I have supposedly said. I have said and never deviated from it. Strictor gun laws will not stop mass shootings. No one is saying that tighter gun laws will end all mass shootings.
Pretty much everyone except you is saying that tighter gun laws will reduce mass shootings.
You are saying that you don't want the same laws we have in the US, why not?
If you're right, why not let any 18 year old walk in to a store in Liverpool or London and buy two AR 15's, loads of ammo and a bullet proof vest with out running that by anyone.
oh man, I'm lost here.Where have I said that I don't agree that tighter gun laws will reduce mass shootings ? Don't bother scrolling to where you think I said it. I have not said they won't. Please don't twist my words and attribute things I have supposedly said. I have said and never deviated from it. Strictor gun laws will not stop mass shootings.
I can't make it any more clearer. It appears that I am the only one in this discussion who has said this, or at least, clearly said it.
My arguments are logical. I have said clearly gun control will not stop shootings. Tell me, where is the lack of logic in that ? Just because it doesn't conform to what the majority are saying on here, doesn't make what I'm saying is wrong. Do I want stricter gun controls, yes. Will they stop mass shootings. No. THAT enough logic for you ?@Spotty doesn’t do logic it seems
will it reduce shootings, simple questionMy arguments are logical. I have said clearly gun control will not stop shootings. Tell me, where is the lack of logic in that ?
