Cases of this size usually take a long time to get to court and then I imagine covid extended that even furtherI remember that case, why the long delay?
Probably everything that @Wizard mentioned and for what I read the state attorney had been rejected for years Cruz guilty pledge in exchange for a life sentence and now there is a new state attorney that’s against the death penalty.I remember that case, why the long delay?

Instead, the gun was loaded with live rounds, and when Baldwin pulled the trigger Thursday on the set of a Western, he killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Director Joel Souza, who was standing behind her, was wounded, the records said.
I understand it is a tv show, and a gun was required for it, but why on earth would someone bring real bullets with them? And then decide to store them inside a gun?SANTA FE, N.M. That, and you should always check the chamber for a round. I agree with you, but in the US who the heck knows.There really should be, including for Baldwin. I thought rule 1 of firearms training everywhere was “do not point the gun at someone unless you intend to shoot them dead”?
