Waits for the same posters in the Sarah Everard thread saying you can never stop someone who wants to sexually harass and rape regardless of education and laws, to jump in and agree with this. No point banning guns as loads of people have them and know its wrong to kill. Education wont work either as good people know not to shoot others.

Lets just leave things as they are.

It's something that most sensible people can see and this is not a surprise but I guess that stat shows just how targeted these attacks usually are, and that they are not just committed by people "having a bad day". Or loners or whatever excuse is usually used for these domestic terrorists. Even with the pandemic there would still be options to go out and shoot a few people if you felt like it or because your mental state had deteriorated so much etc. But finding congregations of your specific target group is much harder. Be it a school, an African American church, a gay nightclub or Asian spas.

Sadly I imagine the same conversations will play out and nothing will change. The same arguments from the right will be made. This will not be the time to look into the issues with racial hatred being stoked up, this will not be the time for gun control to be discussed. This will not be the time to try and seriously help people with severe mental health problems. And in a few weeks/months we will all be back here again saying the same things wishing the politicians would stand up and make a change once again.

I think you could take your pick about what the motives were.

Racism, sexism, god botherer.

The fact is he's another incel. America seems to have a serious problem with people who hate everyone and everything; blaming everyone but themselves for why they have a bad haircut, no teeth and still live in their mum's basement. Add in to that a love of God (because he's the only one who truly understands them) and guns and it will only ever end one way.
