 That is quite frankly disgusting that shop should be shut down right away.
Not a shop, it was a gun show.
Apparently these things are a law upon themselves as all sales are considered a private transaction, therefore you don't need to show any ID or jump through the legal loopholes needed to buy from a commercial store:

Surely you’re not questioning the integrity of a man who shows up at his local fairgrounds or convention center with a trunk full of firearms to sell to complete strangers? What could possibly go wrong?

No, I meant the kid walked off with a rifle when a mini Uzi would have been much better for him....

:(

America is an intensely strange place.

Like bouncing around a park openly carrying firearms with kids and families playing nearby in this climate is fine "cuz muh second amendment"

Police offers should be gun experts too is a strange argument. There job isn't to only deal with weirdos walking around with guns.

Beyond that the idea that an AR pistol is less dangerous than an AR rifle is comical.

Truth is in America once Sandy Hook happened and we decided it was fine nothing at any point was going to change the gun rights argument. It is over. We're doomed to generations of people being shot down in the streets or workplaces or classrooms for no reason.

I get the idea of guns for home defence but never understood why someone would want to walk around the street with a rifle strapped to their back odd behaviour.

I'm confused by this story. Read he was let off because he was deemed mentally incompetent. Does that affect his ability to own a gun? Or am I expecting too much?
You’d hope so but also not sure. There certainly were lots of red flags you’d have hoped would have meant he couldn’t get a gun.
