Botham Jean, Elijah McCain, Philando Castile, Michael Brown, Tamir Rice (12 years old), Atatiana Jefferson. They're just off the top of my head and ignoring your premise that murdering civilians is perfectly legit provided there was a call put in.

The difference in instances like with these two young officers is that we'd be happy to see the perpetrators found and locked up for life. Every time a black person gets shot by police, you're on here rationalising it or finding whatever dirt you can on the victim like the utter kopite toad you are
He was saying it ironically in reference to Tir Eoghain's habit of finding whatever dirt he can on victims of police brutality to justify their deaths

Please go back and read many of my posts where I clearly state cases where the cops were completely wrong and sentenced accordingly. What dirt exactly are you speaking of?

Then you resort to petty childish name calling. Well done lad. I’m sure you’re good Craic over a pint of stout and are popular in your local. Fair play

Please tell me how brilliantly the police acted here and in what ways 23 year old autistic man Elijah McClain deserved to have the breath crushed out of him and pumped full of ketamine until he died you 'kin bellend.

This was terrible and I feel bad for the young man and his family. I hope an independent investigation is forthcoming

It's not. It's a year old case and was almost swept successfully under the carpet until the family finally managed to get this video made public recently. The officers are still on duty.

Here's another couple of lists for you to peruse, take your time and work through them one by one. I'm sure all the black communities and families affected by these shootings will be relieved to know that most of them were justified, their protests are unnecessary and that you have a load of interesting statistics on black on black violence.

Unarmed Black People killed by police

I'm actually great craic over a pint because I'm not a complete bootlicking psychopath. You're going on my ignore list now so don't worry, your feelings are safe

Good man, one of Ireland’s finest.

I can't do it anymore Jimmy. These Trumpanzees are so irretrievably thick that whaling on them isn't even fun anymore and I just want to enjoy this new Everton while it lasts. Plenty of good lads on here to pick up the workload

@Tir Eoghain Blue why is it you seem to focus on crimes by cop or on cops by the African American community?

Is it because the last 8 white men to point a gun at a cop were arrested peacefully and not shot. One managed to walk by several officers with the rifle he just used.

Or maybe that those white folk don't have long rap sheets so they don't deserve harsh treatment.

You are seemingly posting article after article trying to justify crimes against a certain race by cops simply because some of that race are violent.

I'm not sure the cops would want your support if your support is to single out violence and a violent past as a justification for continued shootings.

Not one person in here has said violence is acceptable in factnits the bloody point that we are all sick of it and the cops seem to be doing their best to make it worse.

Not one person has said they wanted to see cops get shot by anyone.

But here you are pointing fingers and posting videos trying to prove black people are violent and I guess deserve it?

Talk about hypocrisy.

Ok I see what you’re trying to do here. Let’s play the game of reverse racism when someone does not agree with the majority. I challenge you to go back 20-30 pages where I began posting. I clearly state that the police should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law when warranted and gave examples.

I have read this thread from page 300 and upwards and have looked at many of your responses along with others. The common theme is the USA is nuts, the NRA is evil, all cops are racist killers etc etc etc.

I see very little to no support in these posts for the good people and good officers who risk their lives everyday and answer calls for service because police radios are colorblind and all calls for are answered. I find it amusing that I am labeled a hypocrite. I have a unique perspective that I shared in an earlier thread. I am a proud Irishman who is also lucky enough to be a proud US citizen. I grew up in Northern Ireland and experienced heavily armed RUC Officers and British soldiers patrolling on a daily basis. I recognize that a lot of the squaddies did not want no part of being in Ireland at that time.

Irish history is pretty interesting and worth studying. One of my favorite days here is the Fourth of July. Unfortunately Northern Catholics never had an Easter uprising of 1916 success story as we were sold down the river, which led to the civil war. I recommend watching a movie called the wind that shakes the barley if interested.

I post articles where cops are being murdered and being attacked, and noted the very delayed response to any of the threads with support. Obviously It doesn’t fit the agenda here. I don’t appreciate your obvious post to label me as a racist as I have family members nieces/nephews who are from a Spanish and African American background. I challenge you to go through all of my prior posts and quote where i am completely out of line.

I do appreciate that you posted a thread in a civil nature compared to some of the recent comments made towards me.

Firstly I didn't say you were racist. I said your argument seems to be lopsided as everything you post focuses on one race.

Secondly point out specifically where I said all cops were racist.

I stand by calling parts of the US nuts if I said that as well as calling the NRA evil if I also said but i'm not sure I said either.

I like you am Irish who settled in the US. As someone who emigrated here surely you must see that you can be respectful of something but be also critical of how they carry themselves or act. I am entitled to call a place I live nuts if I feel that it is. Some of things things in Ireland are nuts too.

Its baffling why anyone would not want change given how much violence there is and how many guns are floating around. Anyone who defends the NRA considering the ads they release and their behavior is also a.head scratcher. They are part of the problem. Not acknowledging that there has to.be some some of control or reform to calm things on all faculties of life including weapons.

Heck how many cops the very people you are going for bat for might be saved of the NRA took the initiative to be supportive of not letting anyone who shouldn't have a gun get access to one.

You know nothing about many of us or how we live our lives because not once have you properly engaged anyone other than to label us all cop haters and then lecture us on Irish history.

No one has actually said they want to see cops dead in this thread. No one has gone to bat for killers of any race or creed.

What people are saying is generally in this thread is that the US attitude to guns is nuts and that the lack of effort to control them causes more problems.

Anytime there is a big shooting incident its always thoughts and prayers and no action. Anytime a cop steps out of line part of country defends him and the rest scratch their head wondering why nothing gets done. Why they can't and won't be prosecuted like the rest of us.

There is an obvious race issue in this country and part of the country does not want to recognize that.

Thanks for the clarification and you make a lot of valid points that are more than reasonable to be fair. I may give this thread a wee rest for a while and just focus on the footy. I do appreciate the thought provoking conversation and realize people have different opinions and maybe the negative comments sent my way made me a little defensive. Best of luck
