It pains me greatly that while I have an Irish passport I was born in Northern Ireland that makes me British. Then I see this "right to bear arms" rubbish and I can console myself with the fact that there are worse things than being British.

While I don't doubt that there's real issues in terms of treatment of minorities in US by the police and authorities, we can't confuse conjecture with actual facts

Not every white police officer is the same - or in fact any officer of any minority - and to suggest that they are and all act the same brings its own issues.

It's suggesting that he is racist and that could do a disservice to the actual officer. He may be, but he may not. In reality, we don't know the circumstances either.

In reality, they've done the morally correct thing here...

Looked to me like the first punch was thrown after the first shot rang out.

He was robbing the place blind. I dont think burglary is a capital offence so the consequence was severe but was this absolutely is not is two rednecks randomly shooting a jogger for being black.

As for this post....you're saying he didnt attack then got shot...then attacked?

Um ok.

Where do you get this snippet of information from? Or was it simply because he's black and they're white and you're an advocate for nordicism?

He wasn't on the rob, he was looking through a window and some people decided that he looked like a previous burglar:

"According to that law, you actually have to be observing the crime or be in the immediate knowledge of the crime," Merritt said. "The only thing they have ever said is ... that Ahmaud stopped by a house that was under construction and he looked through the window. We don't know if that happened or not, but even if that did happen that is not a felony that would invoke the citizen's arrest statute that would make this allowable."

His mother was incorrectly told he'd been robbing. And yes, I'm saying it looks like he reacted after getting shot at for jogging.

I agree he was robbing the place blind, think of all the goodies he could run 12 miles home with. Real quick getaway.
