Same thing with the being careful about whether you post the shooter’s picture - it is all nibbling at the margins but the numbers at this point are so large that even small improvements would result in significant numbers of people being alive.

Totally agree, we know they aren't going to just give up the right to bear arms overnight so like you say just need to keep nibbling. When another one of these events happens push for more policies that aren't stopping the 2nd amendment rights but could potentially save lives.

With that in mind any of these options could and should be used: Limiting the number of guns any one person can have, ban certain semi automatics and all automatics. Limit the size of any clips and/or enforce gun manufactures so that weapons can only fire so many bullets per minute - that might be 20 in short succession but once you empty your ammunition it takes several minutes to reload thereafter. And so on...

This isn't what we want as a final solution but better doing something than nothing.

ex-marine, it's almost as if killing people for a living is deeply damaging and pretty bad for you, not that those profiting will bat an eyelid as they glorify war and the armed forces endlessly

... and thats while they praise Sgt. Helus' heroism whilst doing nothing to deal with the situation that led to his death.

Nah, I’m sorry but that’s elementary logic. I know plenty of lads, including family, who have served in the army who have come out and lived rich fulfilling lives even after being posted to hotspots around the world, including a few that aren’t common knowledge. I have no doubt PTSD is a factor, but there’s a underlying issue there. It’s ultimately tragic that someone that ill can get their hands in weapons and do this.

Certainly less chance of it occurring outside of a country that abides by the american 2nd amendment, I stand firmly by my other points though.
