All those PhD's in statistics, epidemiology, economics and hard sciences just meàn.they've been indoctrinated.

I'm fairly certain any time you earn an advanced degree in the USA, your degree is personally conferred to you by Michael Moore and George Soros, and they also give you a NPR membership card and a subscription to The Nation. So I can understand why the Republicans hate science and established truths and all that.

But it probably wouldn't be. Because there are already 300 million guns in this country. If you could go back 50 years and implement DC/IL/MA gun control throughout the country, maybe you'd be right.
And in 20 years time you may well be saying that there are already 500 million guns, so it’s too hard. You can’t put in measures which will fix the issue for today, but you can start to make it safer for tomorrow.

Its amusing how backward folks refer back to this time and cherry pick the antiquated gun law. Funny they don't bring up other constitutional laws written by the privileged white tyrants from the same period, like owning black people, or white only citizenship, or white privileged male only vote, or thieving land from the "savages" (the British Royal Proclamation of 1763 was a major cause of the revolutionary war since it prohibited white Yankee invaders from seizing native land without signing a peace treaty with them).

Anyway, this fella nails it,

Oh, you mean those things which have been changed as the country evolves? Seems the constitution can be changed when it becomes apparent that it is outdated

I don't disagree with your theme here, but I do disagree with ineffective "fixes" that will impact law-abiding citizens while being ignored by criminals.

So an extreme fringe is ok with repealing the 2nd Amendment. Cool. They are extremists.

I think we agree on that.

The other two polls are so incredibly vague that I could say that 100% of them don't actually support banning anything.

It doesn't change that your argument of a tiny crack in the dam means total failure, and that you are an extremist. You represent the radical right on gun policy...just like the NRA.

One of you will bomb OKC again in the near future I fear.

Exhibit A as to why the NRA will continue to be successful
