Amendment. Key word....AMENDMENT.

It can be amended again.

There’s a solid argument that the 2A doesn’t apply to modern USA anyway as it is not currently well regulated, nor is it necessary to the security of the free state.

Putting that aside it is thought that the 2A was partly based upon our own bill of rights in the 17th century which made it legal for Protestants to bear arms. The only difference being we saw sense a long time ago.

What are you on about lad? What point? What big words? You've ducked a load of questions and, don't worry, we've all clocked your shift from "gun regulation wouldn't make a difference" to "gun regulation will never happen anyway so who cares".

Ha ha ha

The shift was very much intentional and actually completely irrelevant.

We'd still be having this same conversation had this Vegas lunatic only killed 10 people with his automatic weapon. It's a proven FACT you don't need automatic weapons to carry out a mass shooting ( because that's the road you and everyone else has attempted to go down ).

Don't worry I've clocked that you can't accept that banning firearms in the United States is never going to happen.

Your head's all over the shop here, have a nap friend.

There isn't going to be an overnight fix and banning guns won't suddenly stop all US gun crime. But they can't just carry on doing nothing about it.
It's about protection for the future.
If guns had been banned in the 80s/90s even a decade ago, there would undoubtedly be a hell of a lot less of these incidents which seem to happen all too often.

Oh boy

Was it one of the first 10?

You understand why the first 10 were given right? You understand that the 2nd amendment will never be removed or even modified right ?

It hasn’t gone unnoticed that you continue to either ignore or try to shift the discussion whenever it suits.

It hasn't gone unnoticed that it seems most can't accept that banning firearms in the United States will never happen.

It also hasn't gone unnoticed that it seems most can't accept that you don't need automatic weapons to carry out mass shootings. If you do accept this last point, see my first paragraph.

I don't think you understand quite how difficult or nigh impossible it is to modify (amend) or remove amendments to the constitution of the United States.

The 2nd amendment is a protected right. Protected. ' shall not be infringed ' is there for a reason.

The first 10 amendments are there for a reason. Without them, the constitution wouldn't exist.

Never if our lifetime will see you the 2nd amendment being modified. Banning firearms in the United States will never happen.

If the 2nd amendment stated all women under the age of 21 can be legally raped, you'd find a way to repeal it.

It's not down to it being protected - it's down to a lack of political will and powerful groups making money. The fact it's called an "amendment" tells you all you need to know about how the system is meant to work; it's supposed to be amended to fit the needs of the country, such as the 13th Amendment abolishing slavery.

So yeah, it'll never be changed, but not because it technically can't be.

The first 10 amendments are essentially The Bill of Rights.

Rights = Something you can do/entitled to because it's protected by the law.

The rule of the law. To protect the people here in the U.S. None of the 1st 10 amendments will ever be amended.

It's clearly terrorism. I'm not sure that's even the debate. Terrorism is a violent act aimed at causing terror by definition.

But the wider point is the disgusting culture of needing weapons in the US. And for once I don't even think you can blame Trump. No president, not even Obama did anything other than say a few words. Actions were what was needed. Surely enough is enough.

Thats not true. He tried many things and was restricted by congress.
