Ohhhhh man.you started it, Neil. You wrote: "I would suggest these issues are becoming centrist and generally accepted."
I asked what issues?
I'll answer then:
- promoting a shift away from Eurocentricity, which it defines as "white male patriarchal supremacy".
- Defining 'racial equity' as acknowledging that white people have the monopoly on unfair affirmative action.
- reduce police presence during 'protests'.
- generally defunding police.
- use and promotion of language like "non-binary".
- promotion of bias in science (if justified by ideological reasons).
- abolishing jails & immigrant centres.
- promotion of 'diversity'.
These are all Far Left issues, and are being promoted and pushed by The Establishment. When publications criticise promotion of such ideas (like Toby Young's Daily Sceptic) Paypal banned them from their platform.
In the digital age, the gatekeepers of the world-wide-web are The Establishment. They are Google, Amazon, Paypal, Wikimedia etc. They influence global policy, they influence even individual thinking.
And they veer quite leftwards.
I think the Google thing you refer to is the inclusive language assist feature.
Judging by the backlash it's not really a 'centrist' position. It's arguably a well meaning but flawed feature that has got some absolute piss babies in a flap.
Which appears to be what constitutes an unfortunately influential number of the right these days: absolute piss babies getting angry at stuff that really doesn't have a material effect on their lives. "Some bloke down the road wants to wear a dress and be known as Sharon and bloody Google backs him. Grrrrr".
Have at it, we've got material inequalities to worry about. Important stuff.
'Kin culture wars. Go find something better to cry about, you disingenuous Ferrets. We all know such carping is to wind up idiots and distract from the real problems people face.
