But that's your definition of leftwards, I would suggest these issues are becoming centrist and generally accepted
what issues?

the issues being financed by Wikipedia donations are Far Left, and the issues Paypal attempted to block are counters to Far Left narratives.

What are these far left issues?
you started it, Neil. You wrote: "I would suggest these issues are becoming centrist and generally accepted."

I asked what issues?

I'll answer then:

- promoting a shift away from Eurocentricity, which it defines as "white male patriarchal supremacy".
- Defining 'racial equity' as acknowledging that white people have the monopoly on unfair affirmative action.
- reduce police presence during 'protests'.
- generally defunding police.
- use and promotion of language like "non-binary".
- promotion of bias in science (if justified by ideological reasons).
- abolishing jails & immigrant centres.
- promotion of 'diversity'.

These are all Far Left issues, and are being promoted and pushed by The Establishment. When publications criticise promotion of such ideas (like Toby Young's Daily Sceptic) Paypal banned them from their platform.

In the digital age, the gatekeepers of the world-wide-web are The Establishment. They are Google, Amazon, Paypal, Wikimedia etc. They influence global policy, they influence even individual thinking.

And they veer quite leftwards.

Why are they are far left? How do you define it? It's how you feel about those issues I'm afraid....

Google,amazon....yep far left ?

Toby Young is a cock.

Your view that these issues are "centrist and generally accepted" is quite incredible, really.

But to virtually everybody else: woke identity politics and defund-the-police are issues defined as being very Left.

Left wing politics are about equality of opportunity, workers rights and a strong state.

What you've done there is lump together a list of things you don't like with another thing you don't like to make yourself a little folk devil.

Woke identity politics is a meaningless phrase, defund the police isn't being helped by amazon and Google is it

That's arguably now conservative politics. Left-Wing politics in todays' age is about promoting equity...i.e. equality of outcome.

You haven't been paying attention, and neither has @neil999 since he liked your post.

Neil asked me what issues from that link i shared about Wikimedia donations are leftwards.

I then listed them.

You can verify this by clicking the link.

Do you disagree those issues are of the Left?

Woke identity politics is a meaningless phrase,
it is not, for most people understand what is meant by it.

defund the police isn't being helped by amazon and Google is it
That's very specific lol

Google Search, and Google-owned Youtube - and Amazon owning a massive bunch of servers so they get to police its users - control the global narrative to reflect a socially pro-Left agenda, which largely includes issues like woke identity politics, which by extension pushes movements that those politics promote, like disabling the police.

Whether this is a bad thing or not can be debated. But it is here.

A. Defunding the police was held on a few signs, but that’s about it. However, our right-wing conservative governments have closed over 200 police stations.

B. Someone asking to be called by a certain set of pronouns hurts literally no one, and makes that person feel that little bit more comfortable.

C. Listing diversity as a problem is a bit of a self-report.
