No, I didn’t. I knew it would end in failure. The league was weaker then. United and spurs sacked their managers and Arsenal were injury plagued and we bottled it. Was it? Or is it revisionism? We relied upon a ridiculous amount of worldie goals (not sustainable as proven) to get us through that season. As said, enjoying that season was for those who weren’t aware of how poor of a manager Martinez was. We’ve seen it with slot at RS this season. Borderline identical drop off after he coached previous managers habits out of them.

I never said I didn't want him here the season after, I'm saying that's a different matter.
Let's see how he does next season with a few more signings. Will he fully address problem areas like the RB and LB positions, etc? I'm happy for Moysie to be given next season to sort things out and move us forward. If he doesn't or can't, then he leaves when his contract runs out, and we then replace him.

What if his presence in the 27/28 season (ie what should be his last year) was dependent on him getting a new 3 year contract next season though?
