I don’t think so. He wanted Baines as he was a great player.Has Moyes got a record for signing his past players? He got Fellaini and tried for Baines. Took Pienaar and Gibson to Sunderland, but think that was desperation on frees.
Think we'll be looking elsewhere
Yer what?In the words of sultry kiwi songstress and all round beauty Natalie Imbruglia, I’m a bit Torn.
Cheese on toast for me.
Some of the football we play is a bit too negative and borderline Dyche tactics.
However he has stabilised the club and the players seem to enjoy playing for him. That said, I don’t want players too comfortable as that can breed apathy.
It’s a real catch 22 for me. I understand why people want him moved on but I wish they would be a bit more grown up about it and not turn it into a weird Moyes slagging agenda.
It's this for me, really. We have such short memories.I can't speak for everyone but for me it was nice to enjoy this season compared to the seasons under the last three managers. I could handle another one that might include Europe of some sort. I dont want him forever but I'd want us to be very sure of getting an upgrade before taking the plunge. He definitely is not as bad as some make him out to be
This is selling Bowen a bit short, to be fair. He's been the only shining light in that club for a few years now. I'd love to have him here, but I fear he'd be much too expensive. He's a great finisher, stays healthy and has a high football IQTotally agree mate, would i have Bowen in my team instead of Ndiaye or Grealish, no chance.
If we win every game 5-0 then the new manager might get away with very little criticism. Else, I agree. You'll turn on the next manager within 6 games. It's the Everton way.
Thomas Frank deserves a shot with a big club. A genuinely big club. Could see us going for him and after a couple of iffy pragmatic showings I can smell the fume from here...You'll turn on the next manager within 6 games. It's the Everton way.
All of that disappeared last january when Dyche forced them to change. If he hadnt been making such a pigs ear of the job they would have held out and appointed end of season. I dont think that would have been Moyes. As it was who knows if the new era would have started in the championship. Anyone who thinks Everton were not in a relegation fight last january are deluded. We were THAT bad.
Interesting though had we been 10 points clear and coasted to the end of the season who they would have gone for.
I don't know who he is yet, but he'll be some kind of massive fraud, you mark my words...You'll turn on the next manager within 6 games. It's the Everton way.
Probably wouldnt win the right way or something. If we win every game 5-0 then the new manager might get away with very little criticism. Else, I agree.
I dunno what most of that has to do with my post tbh. Sounds more like a reply to the forums biscuit connoisseur
I was more talking about this season. I doubt it was ever on the cards to change him, but it annoys me reading people all in disbelief of how disliked Moyes is or that people have the temerity to want him out.
It just the reality of going back to a manager who already had ten years with us and who many were very tired of.
