Children understand the world crudely, in terms of Good and Evil.

Adults appreciate structure, cause and effect.

Have another moan about on the football forum about how the Evil Bad Man is Evil and Bad, and everyone is racist. It'll make you feel better.

What the article really reveals is that if the Democrats could resist sneering at prospective voters long enough to introduce a basic economic platform*, they would be utterly sweeping it.

Instead, despite the worst economic and public health catastrophe in a century, Trump remains within the margin of error and Republicans control the courts, the Senate and nearly two-thirds of the statehouses.

* And for those of you bursting at the seams because the Pod Save America Johns told you its The Most Progressive Platform In History™ - this is yet another example of how people who do not consume mainstream media understand politics more clearly than those who do.
I dunno what pod save America is. What do you mean by basic economic platform?
I mean in the U.K., Labour got pumped for suggesting we nationalise railways (and cos people got racist)

What have you been reading?

Labour's economic policies were the only thing that voters actually liked. Nationalising the railways still has overwhelming support, including among Conservatives.

Labour was destroyed because of Corbyn, Brexit, and because white people without university degrees got sick of 20 year olds in London telling them they were racist.

You seem to have a massive problem with Pod Save America. Did they steal your lunch money or something? Slept with your girlfriend perhaps?

Theres also a pretty huge dollop of irony in you of all people critiquing people for not thinking for themselves. But I digress, im sorry. Go ahead and post another wall of someone else’s text

Says the man who the other day reverse-psychologied himself from outrage at the mere suggestion that the Democrats represented the rich to claiming this was as obvious as water being wet 20 minutes later :)

What Pennsylvanians Think About Trump

People remember it was the Democrats who voted for NAFTA...
38 Senators voted against NAFTA - only 10 were Republicans. 132 GOP Representatives voted for NAFTA, 43 against. 156 Dems voted against. The Agreement was negotiated by a GOP POTUS during a time the GOP was in favor of free trade.

People remember what they want. But facts do matter.

No, merely the implication of equivalence.
But then it’s also possible you bored me into a stupor.

But keep at it.

Don’t forget to check under your bed for The hosts of PSA before you go to sleep!

This happens in America too - Just b/c they got sick of 20 year olds telling them they are racist, doesn't mean at least some of them aren't truly racist, and some of the rest of them lean racist. They just don't like being told that
I just got off a text string with some friends that had some of the most gross "right up to the line" of racist comments in it. Made me puke. And these are well-educated, well off people

It exists.

How’s the battle going mate?

Didn’t you get the memo? Calling people racist is a far greater crime than actually BEING racist

Sure, and water is wet.

Nobody has ever been elected President of the United States without the votes of racists - and that includes Barack Obama, the most successful Democrat in a generation.

The trouble is that unlike Barack Obama, well-educated urban white liberals would rather congratulate themselves on the internet for being self-righteous than do what's necessary to attain the power required to actually do anything constructive about structural racism.

Your first statement is almost certainly true. Most of those who have run don’t openly court those racists with open racism of their own.

as for the bold part... Indeed. They could be out raising money, registering voters, raising awareness, giving progressive politicians a platform.

If only there were some people doing that.

Perhaps they could use some sort of new media to reach millions of people at a time.

Is there a point?

C'mon man.
You spend months lurking on here, then closer to the election start copying and pasting some articles that you think might open our eyes to what's really going on in America. But unlike you, we live here and have lived through the first Trump term. Blaming democrats for reacting badly to how republicans are behaving is TX Bill stuff. I'm sorry your article was obvious and hum drum but their the breaks, there's no need for the "evil man is Evil" nonsense. You're smarter than that. (also, in this case the evil man is the president and he is actually evil)

I've no problem admitting that moaning about our racist president on this forum makes me feel better. Seeing that there are like minded people in Pittsburg, Tennessee, North Carolina, Texas, California and all over the country (even @Yank in Rochester :)) definitely helps. I know it can be tough for some republican posters on here and that's too bad, sometimes it's hard defending the indefensible.

And, again for yourself and @Death
We know the Dems are corporate sellouts.
We know Biden is a moderate.
We know he's not as progressive as they are saying he will be.
Most of us would have preferred Sanders or Warren.
BUT HE'S NOT DONALD TRUMP
