On paper I understand the need for top level politicians of both parties to be protected from the virus, but honestly, **** the Lindsay Graham's and Marco Rubio's of the world who spent the past nine months pretending this thing wasn't real, and then jumping to the head of the queue when a vaccine comes online. I know in the grand scheme it's a very small number, but every dose that goes to guys like that is one that doesn't go to a healthcare worker or nursing home resident.

My personal take is no one should get to jump the line. It should all go to the front line/most at risk population first. We’re all in this together or so I’d like to think.

Asked a friend who works as a pharmacist. He indicated that 95% of those in the vaccine group that still got covid got it in the first 2 weeks after the initial dose. So theoretically after that first 2 weeks you’re in pretty good shape.

2 weeks is pretty standard for vaccines.

No kidding. Imagine living paycheck to paycheck trying to support a family on 40k a year and thinking he was talking about you in the first half of that sentence. I guess sometimes ignorance truly is bliss.
