We didn't win the Senate so nothing can be accomplished

Bad news for sure, particularly for women and the LGBT community who are about to see their basic rights gutted and people with pre-existing medical conditions who are going to be thrown to the wolves. As a healthy straight white guy, I can’t even fathom how they must be taking the results this morning.

That said, I’m trying to remain upbeat in the thought that taking, at least momentarily, a step back from the ledge of fascism is VERY MUCH an accomplishment.

Almost literally every single race went to the republicans in the Senate. Susan fn Collins! WHAT THE HELL! How did NOBODY take a single race???

Even maintaining the status quo hinged on winning the senate. Without the power to balance the court, a lot of people are going to see major setbacks.

Him getting himself into office was the achievement. The fact that if all the voting was stopped now at this stage trump would win is a remarkable fumble. They just had to run someone up against Donald f’ing trump. This is absolutely NOT a fact. No more votes are being cast. The only reason results are lagging is because of state laws, many put in place by Republicans, that prohibited mail in ballots from being counted prior to Election Day.
