Same with the tories, you wonder how anyone can keep voting for such scumbags but people still do

One of the factors I think is that the majority of people regard politics as boring and don't engage with the issues involved. They are then open to manipulation with the support of the media in their particular country. A lot of folk see only headlines and meaningless soundbites, instead of using their critical abilities to look beneath the surface and come to a reasoned decision.

The voting system in most countries is rigged - if you get the most votes you should win simple as that for me.

Like imagine being a Labour voter on the south coast or a Conservative in Liverpool - would be a worthless vote.

Yep. Less than half the vote in Wayne County was in the last time they showed it.
