Dems needed someone to absolutely SMASH or CRUSH (@the sniderman ) Trump. Close elections against despots are no good. Sanders or Warren could have done that. I know all about their weaknesses but at least they are passionate and a flare you can see in them.

I just don't understand why Sanders hasn't run in the last 30 years! He's a great man!!

My vote is an absolute irrelevance every general election. A safe seat and a long term MP I don't like or think is up to the job.

But I wouldn't change the system at all because I think it works.

Smaller states have just as much of a right to have a seat at the table regarding their issues - which by and large will be much different from the issues large metro areas face. Sure, CA/NY/etc all deserve more electoral votes. So, balance that.
