Reckon if Biden wins (and the campaign will be him winning no matter what) then Americans won't like what they have elected. He will be just as bad as trump , lucky for him he has a vice that can effectively run the country.

The historian Alan lichtman says his model that predicts the winner without fail says Biden wins , so that's as a good a guarantee as any for me.

I still think history will look back on trump's reign favourably , even if people hate him right now. History will see the positives his administration has done and not chalk him as destroying the country.

But it will be a democratic victory in November and 4 years of Biden.

Just google him and you see how many negative articles are about him. Get past the time machine of Google and there will be plenty more over the years.

He is a sub par politician over his career , achieving nothing of any note. He literally has issues mentally due to age as is being highlighted now which is why I highlight the importance of the VP.

And people suddenly have a overwhelming surge of support for him because he isn't trump. That's the top and bottom of why people genuinely support him now. Sanders I could understand people genuinely backing him but this election as it was 4 years ago is anyone but trump.

Look beyond the election and you see how bad Biden has been as a politician. As I say just Google him and see how much negative press gets written about him.

Biden is the choice that hardly anyone wanted and as soon as he made deals to be that choice (quite underhand the way that played out) everyone forgot how bad a candidate he actually is.

Years and years of biden negative press and opinions but just because he is running against trump he suddenly is a great choice.

Is it not possible that what Americans see as a better choice compared to trump isn't exactly a good choice?

Like us picking between pardew and Bruce. One is better than the other but do you really want either?

I think these demonstrations and burning of property every time the police make a mess of an arrest will play well for him. The Democrats almost seem to endorse them, and that will play badly with the silent majority. COVID is one thing, but viruses come and go, Law and Order and the future of the economy will be the preferred battle grounds for Trump. But that’s just a view from afar......

So your entire reasoning that Biden will be as bad as Trump is because he's uninspiring? Ok, I'll gladly acquiesce that he isn't a candidate that makes people want to get out and vote.

That being said, that doesn't, in any way/shape/form, show he is ANYTHING like Trump. Biden had questionable stances in the 60's in regards to civil rights and has expressed regret and remorse for that. Trump is literally standing behind white supremacists in 2020. That's just literally one example of the probable thousands that show how vastly different the two could possibly be.

Yeah, not so sure this is an accurate representation of the specific polling. Back in July, Monmouth put out 3 polls from PA that had leads of 13, 10 and 7. Now the lead is 4, 3 and 1. A tightening, sure. But almost all of it is the POTUS going from ~40% support to ~45% with Biden losing roughly 1-2 points in support but still getting 49% - which is a close approximation of where most traditional swing states are.

In multi-candidate polling in 2016, Hillary Clinton wasn't getting close to 49% support in PA.

Sure like any politician you can pull good and bad things out of his career. That's why I don't want to list things like they mean anything because I am sure you can list counter arguments to them all.

But it's kinda funny that if I say anything positive about trump or negative about Biden then it's treated like an act of aggression. How dare I say they are anything alike right? That can't be possible.

I mean both are proven sexist, both insult people when challenged and both have rape / sexual allegations against them.

I know this is the norm now, can't say anything bad about Biden but Biden as a president , is not too dissimilar to trump as one
