It's things like this that remind me how much more right the US is to UK/EU.

Crazy isn’t it? Even the most right wing posters on here (not including the troll accounts that get banned within a week) are pretty moderate and reasonable. Then I look on Twitter and I’m stunned by what I see.

Understood, it just seems that it’s easy to blame Trump for everything when really he’s just using the system everyone buys into.

I agree it is easy to put all the blame on Trump because the past four years have been so disastrous. @Tin-Tin wrote exactly what my thoughts were so I won't repeat them. While Biden may not be the exact change that some of us wished, he is a descent person and that's a good start. But once he wins we need to push him and Democrats for real change, we can't become complacent. Voting him in office must be just the beginning of a much needed revolution.

Tbh the most unexpected thing might be a smooth, easy landslide with no protests or legal challenges.

Because it takes an amendment to do such a change and it would have been a political outcry from Republicans. Obama would probably had gotten lynched by even making the suggestion. Obama was also too much of a moderate to make such a change. That's why we needed someone more radical as Bernie to make such changes. Maybe this time around if Biden wins, and we also win a great number of seats in the Senate and also the House then Democrats stop playing nice and push for such a change but it will take 2/3 of them to approve such a change so it is not an easy task.

Just increasing the House of Rep numbers would help. That was capped back in 1920s I believe. And that would be much easier legislation.
If all states had the Wyoming ratio of citizens to Reps, it would make the electoral college more like the national voting totals.

Bit moot since Harris have closed 9 out of their 10 drive up locations just to be safe that those votes won’t be discounted.
