I have always thought so too! I have also thought that they have coached their underage daughter into creating all of those TikTok videos against Trump. They are going to enrich themselves even more after Trump looses the election because they will be getting book deal to tell it all.

I have always maintained it was her. Said here a couple times in the past.

To me it was confirmed when the daughter recently spoke out. The reasons she gave made it seem like her parents were confusing her with their behavior. Sort of hinting at its not all that appears to be. I think now obviously the daughter is herself using them to cash in and all three of them are using this train wreck of an admin to secure their futures. Who are people going to want to talk to more when Trump leave office. People like them I suspect.

Not stupid at all. Perfectly logical and sound.

But this is the United States of Foolishness and we have a SCOTUS that seems amenable to making up new rules. In fact, they call themselves, quite unironically, "Originalists".

I always thought this is one of the things even the GOP wouldn't want to mess with. There are those certain things that won't change that would affect both parties eventually.

Wouldn't it not help with military ballots? Others overseas also

Also what if he's losing right up until the death and there are still votes would he want to take it on the chin and then cry foul when he could have simply let the rest of the vote be counted.

Not stupid at all, I’ve lived here over 20 years and not sure I have a full handle on it!

But in theory yes, each state sets out how they will oversee the federal election in their state - whether they will allow absentee/mail voting, when the ballots need to be postmarked/received, how many days of early voting, what identification is required etc

However in practice there is a rich history of those rules being challenged both in state and federal courts, usually because of attempts to disenfranchise POC from voting and sometimes those courts overturn the rules that were initially established.

Just to add to the fun we now have COVID and lots of states have changed their rules to try and expand mail/early voting so it is off to the courts we go to see which of those new rules will remain.
