Yeah exactly. If Biden takes Florida we'll know it on the night and (assuming the margin there isn't wafer thin) that would leave Trump with basically no route to re-election, and therefore little reason to challenge in court.

That's within the margin of error, I believe.

Further it may be an acknowledgment the NYT/Siena has had difficulty, as have virtually all pollsters, in polling the state of Texas accurately in the last 2 cycles.
