No. It's because noone can comprehend that anyone can ever support trump in any capacity. Hell there was one yesterday that was just called a wum lol

It's just a fact of life right now. People hate trump so much that you can't talk about him in any positive context. Which is fair enough, that is the most popular opinion.
I personally can’t understand how anyone ever could support Trump in any capacity. As I see it he has accentuated, often intentionally, the absolute worst things things about this country from the moment he rode down that escalator. That said, I do realize that for whatever reason, a lot of people just view this election as a standard choice of policy election as opposed to the good vs. evil/battle for the soul of our democracy stakes with which I see it.

What I struggle to come to terms with is how Trump supporters often act like they can just say anything they like without even being challenged on it, and are never up for any sort of real debate. A poster coming in here and spouting off Trump talking points like “he’s done more for African-Americans than any president since Lincoln” but then refusing to enumerate a single example of how when asked to is madness. If I found my way to a more Trump friendly board and decided to start making claims that “Joe Biden’s record over the past half century in politics is lily white and to say otherwise is un-American” I would honestly expect to get some push back.

Repeat after me:

Freedom of speech is not freedom of that speech from scrutiny.
Yeah that's the new line you are all saying

There is a difference in how people respond to that though. Anyone can post their opinion for freedom of speech sure. Just funny that generally on this particular subject, the opposing view doesn't tread lightly.

I think people these days forget politics does have more than one opinion. All of this is no different to 4 years ago, people haven't changed their minds about trump and that's fine , same opinions voted democrat then as well. Just that people have got louder since then. Again fine, politics should envoke passion in some people and their hatred of trump deems that necessary.

There is nothing wrong with the hatred of the man. From an outside perspective people just aren't open for discussion on him.

It's what I call the social media generation which is exactly what you touch upon. Everyone opposes trump here so someone in favour can't talk positively without having like 5 different posters disagreeing. It's almost narrow minded to shut out any other opinion other then their own. But that can be applied to literally anything on the internet these days!

In all reality there is no chance in trump winning next month right? Noone likes him, I keep hearing Biden is winning polls, the historian model says Biden and trump is even losing the debates.

I think you just have to be cognizant of the forum in which you’re posting, which is one primarily dedicated to a football team in Liverpool. Given the history and politics of that city, I think it’s fair to assume that the vast majority of people who find their way to a place like that are always going to take a dim view of a man whose main appeal is to the “anti-science, anti-women, anti-LGBT, everyone should be allowed to walk around with an assault rifle, locking kids in cages is perfectly acceptable if it keeps foreigners out of my country, America **** yeah!” crowd.

If you’re looking for a MAGA version of this forum, I not so proudly present you with this one, made up largely of the kind of people I’m surrounded with every day.

And no, Trump can absolutely win. As much as I hope the pollsters have fixed their problems from four years ago, I still don’t fully trust them.

Fair play to anyone who does back trump to voice their opinion on the internet , can't be easy to get that opinion across lol
Then do so, if you wish. Please. It'd be quite a change from the efforts of many Trump supporters who have participated here (most often the "snowflake" and Pepe the Frog crowd - with a few notable, and missed, exceptions).

Most here seem open to good, honest debate.

Talking about capacity...And on the opposite side is Joe Biden x
The coherent one who can actually discuss policies? Aye, that’s the one.

But answer the question, since you’re so knowledgeable.

At what point did you NOT think that Trump’s “strategy” (such as it is) was not clear, since it’s apparently just now become clear.

It’s not really a “new line” - it’s just a fact.

I don’t think you’ll find any anti-Trump posters on here (certainly amongst the regulars) who have any objection with their opinions being questioned, or any difficulty backing up those opinions with that little thing called evidence.

Interesting that the same is rarely if ever true of Trump supporters
