@TheFinnFan is probably just upset his country is being run by 30 year old women.

I have always found it odd that he seems to be infatuated with Trump given his country has been called the most socially progressive and its current cabinet is made up of more women than most countries and its prime Minister is a progressive. Most of these women are part of their social democratic party.

I guess maybe that's why he focuses his attention on talking to folks across the pond and their ideals and how conservatism is "winning" here.

Finland is a socialist utopia compared to the rest of Europe (who are still much further left than the average American would traditionally consider ‘Socialist’).

Marxism never really reached the USA and maybe they didn’t need it - but for European populations who had experienced centuries of bondage under varying forms of feudalism, it was essential to the freedoms they have today.

Will be interesting to see if COVID has much impact on the election, Biden seems to support essentially a full continuous lockdown for a year or longer based on the debate.

Do people from California and New York support their hard lockdowns?

Biden supporters' unbridled enthusiasm baffles me. Have they seen the early returns in key battleground states?

The election hinges on 7 states, the Sunbelt 3 (FL, NC, AZ) and the Rust Belt 4 (PA, MI, WI, MN). If Trump wins all 3 of the Sunbelt 3, then he needs to win only 1 of the 4 Rust Belts to win the electoral college (please remember that the popular vote counts for as much as the dancing penguin vote).

Early returns are not allowed to give results by candidate but do provide numbers of votes by party registration, a good indicator of ultimate tallies. Biden needs to be ahead in FL by at least 650K votes going into Nov 3 to overcome the red wave on election day (most Republicans vote in person on ED). At end of day today, Dems lead by less than 400K, and Republicans are gaining fast. Early numbers are almost as bad for Biden in NC & FL. As much as it ain't over 'til it's over, for Biden it's getting dark early in the Sunbelt 3.

That means Trump has to pick off only 1 of the RB 4, and he already is posting better than expected numbers in MI & WI. Biden's monumental gaffe about ending the oil industry probably just torpedoed his chances in PA. Biden's chances of going 4 for 4 in the Rust Belt were a longshot to begin with. Now they're lotteryesque.

To quote the immortal wisdom of Joaquín Andújar, "You can sum up baseball in one word: you never know." Same is true for politics. But it's looking very bad for Biden right now.

I see Biden was hawking it up in the debate. The military spit shining them bombs in anticipation of Bidens election.

Just thinking out loud here.

Isn't politics and elections meant to be about personal choice?

Surely having celebrities rolling out on support of Biden is classed as influencing votes? Having avenger get togethers in the name of Biden for arguments sake, well if the avengers are voting for Biden I must as well.....

Is this what American politics has come to?

There are quite a few celebs who are Biden supporters but hammer home the go and vote message instead. But when you are going so much out your way to tell people to vote Biden using your celebrity status? That should be illegal to do.

Firstly freedom of speech.

Secondly both candidates have famous people giving their endorsements.

What a bizarre argument

Amazing. Trump won Florida in 2016 by ~100,000 votes.

Republicans led throughout the early voting period until 3 days before the election when Dems went 3,000 votes up.

Yet somehow Dems being up by FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND is a... *checks notes*... good sign for Trump?
