Absolutely not. State Healthcare by all means not the greatest in NZ, but my wife was in hospital for an infection for a couple of days earlier this year, it cost us about $25NZD sum total for her drug prescription. I imagine it would be a small fortune in the US if we didn't have health insurance over there.

Your healthcare if you're upper-middle class and above is far superior to ours by all accounts, but ours is far superior for middle-class and lower, simply in terms of access and fairness, if not facilities.

I'm not actually a fan of the NHS due to the waste in it, but I'd have it every day of the week over your system and I think 99% of the UK, regardless of politics, would say the same. But an increasing amount of people would like to see serious reform of it too.
This was kind of the impression I’ve always gotten from all the British people I’ve ever talked with about it. I’ve heard some people take issues with bureaucratic stuff about the NHS, but the institution itself seems to be almost above reproach, and something Brits are fiercely proud of. Kind of similar to how the military is viewed here.
