Wow.

Never heard of this guy but here's hoping he's the new Cahill.

This is from 2 years ago...

I'm not aussie, but here's something I've found (incidentally while looking for this year's academy cull and intake* - the club is keeping mum and it's making me worried** that Barkley won't sign his scholarship papers or some other setback). So, here's Gary van Egmond (former Socceroo, championship-winning A-League coach and now Australian Institute of Sport senior coach) in "The Age", talking about Australia's future stars.
[And] there's a boy here at the AIS from Sydney called Terry Antonis, who won't be here for much longer. He's a bit out of the box because his technique is so good, he's both sided and can play as a 10, an 8 or even a 6. He's a very complete player, who could work a bit harder on his defensive duties. But with the ball he's a very clever player who scores goals from midfield, like Cahill and Holman. Antonis will develop over the next four years and I suspect he'll have a rapid rise.

*I've found this on a lithuanian forum of all things, but it appears they just copied it from the wikipedia article about potential future Finch Farm Scholars: In - Hope, Barkley, Barrow, Donzo, Higgins, Forrester, Long, Parker, Thomas, Lundstram, Pennington, Hammar.
** Natural state for blues fans, isn't it?

Right now we are one of if not the most attractive club for young players to go to. They know they can develop with us, and they know they have a chance of making it into the first team.

no nothing about this kid, the strip in the photo above looks like the new A league team Melbourne Heart.

Can't sign him for over a year so there's plenty of time for him to be stolen from us.

He's currently on trial at Sydney. He'll probably earn himself a youth contract, then move on next year.

U mean, he's playing FOR Everton ?? ausport.gov.au/ais/sports/football_men/athletes?sq_content_src=%2BdXJsPWh0dHAlM0ElMkYlMkZtYXRyaXh0dW5uZWwlMkZTcG9ydCUyRjEzJTJGU3F1YWQlMkZQcm9maWxlJTJGQXRobGV0ZSUyRkRldGFpbCUyRjI5NjI3NDYmYWxsPTE%3D

He signed with Everton, but, the contract was blocked by the FFA because he's not 18 yet.

Has just signed for Sydney:

Reigning A-League champions Sydney FC have signed teenage star Terry Antonis.

The Sky Blues have secured the 16-year old on a three-year contract which will see him join the club’s National Youth League setup, which is coached by Steve Corica.

The highly-regarded Antonis was delighted to have signed a deal with Sydney and was looking forward to taking his game to another level with the A-League club.

“It is great and I am really happy about joining Sydney FC. They are very professional and honest. The facilities here are really good and the coaching and club staff has been great to me already,” Antonis said.

“I want to thank my Mum and Dad, Peter and Anna, and my brother and sister George and Dimity for supporting me through everything and helping me get here. And also to my previous coaches who I have learnt a lot from since very early on.

“Developing my game further is the most important thing and I feel I can do that the best here. I learnt a lot whilst I was at the AIS and playing against some of the best young players around really helped.

“We play Everton this Saturday so it doesn’t get much bigger than that and I hope to get on and play. Sydney is the A-League champions, has the Asian Champions League later next year and some big games in the preseason. It is very exciting to be this young and be involved in that.”
